Wedding Receptions at Ville Sommet in Tagaytay
Tagaytay City and its environs have always been ideal as venues for weekend getaways, corporate events, and of course, weddings and wedding receptions. Of the last, however, few offer as unique possibilities as Ville Sommet.
One reaches Ville Sommet by taking the turn along the main Tagaytay road, fronting Residence Inn Tagaytay, leading into Barangay Sicat. The drive is downhill, thus offering a breathtaking view of the rolling hills filled with green sceneries. The view alone is relaxing and tempts the visitor to stay for good to order the hustle and bustle of city life.
Located at the border of Tagaytay City and Alfonso, both in Cavite, Ville Sommet’s gated, 1.5-hectare grounds offer different venues for the wedding party. For those who prefer to maximize on the cool clime and hold their wedding or reception outdoors, there are the Pavilion and the Parkland. The Pavilion is a small venue that can accommodate 80 guests. The Parkland, on the other hand, provides perfect photo opportunities for about 300 people with its lagoon and winding paths set amidst a green landscape of colorful blooms and lush mango fruit trees.
A unique feature of Ville Sommet is the Glass House. It is uniquely a garden enclosed within a garden – its glass walls provide a fantastic 360-degree view of the surrounding gardens. Its high ceilings marked with draperies add flair and elegance. Natural lighting provided by the sun during the day, or by lights from the Parkland at night, easily add to the dramatic setting. The Glass House can easily seat 350 people, and is ideal for those who are unsure of the weather.
In addition to these venues, Ville Sommet, which translates literally into “town on the summit”, offers the cozy and fantastic Chalet, a mountain cabin-like structure designed by renowned Filipino architect Jose Mañosa. The Chalet can accommodate six, with its two bedrooms, a living and dining area, a steam room or sauna, and a Jacuzzi or whirlpool. It is an ideal venue for the bride to prepare for the wedding or reception, or by the newlyweds before they set off on their honeymoon. The Chalet can be rented on its own, but rates are discounted if taken as part of the wedding package.
Unsurprisingly, wedding packages do not come cheap at the Ville Sommet, with the package at P140,000 for four hours, exclusive of food. The package includes exclusive use of the entire Ville Sommet; a four-hour use of the Glass House, or two hours use of the Parkland; six hours for ingress (site preparations); use of the Chalet and its amenities; air conditioning for the Glass House and the Chalet; directional maps and car passes for the guests; and assistance by staff in the free parking area. The area has 19 parking slots; other guests can park along the streets, where local barangay tanods help watch your car. Ville Sommet has four accredited caterers to choose from, each offering a variety of dishes that take advantage of the fresh goods produced locally.
Ville Sommet also has an office in Palanan, Makati City.
